Well it is that time of year again and soon students will be heading back to school. At Port Cares we recognize how difficult it can be sometimes to ensure that our kids have all the school supplies that they need. We are here to help with the Back to School Program.
The Port Cares Back to School Program helps local children in need with school supplies for the new year such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, calculators, and other items. In 2012, Port Cares was able to provide school supplies to 32 children in the community. The most-needed items for 2013 are backpacks, lunch bags, scientific calculators, and compass/protractor sets. Families who wish to apply for back-to-school assistance can do so by contacting us here at Port Cares at our 92 Charlotte St. location or call 905-834-3629. Back to School 2013
If you are able to help a child by donating either school supplies or by making a cash donation this fall you can drop off your donation at Port Cares, 92 Charlotte St, Port Colborne. Cash donations over $20.00 and school supplies with proof of purchase will receive a tax receipt. We thank you for your support.
