Wainfleet Teen collects over 2914 pounds of food for the Food Bank!

Josh Davies, a 13 year old Teen from Wainfleet was inspired after a church service to find a way to help out in his community. With the support and guidance of his Pastor at the Fork’s Road East United Church he set out to collect food for the Port Cares Food Bank. He did this in his own unique way by going door to door and often using his lawn tractor and matching trailer.  William E Brown Public School where Josh is a student also assisted by taking up a collection. The response from the whole community was overwhelming. Thanks to this young man’s efforts over 2914 pounds of food was delivered to the Food Bank.

Donations to the Port Cares Food Bank can be dropped off at 61 Nickel St. between 9 am and 4 pm or by calling 905-835-1914. Click here for a list of the  Most needed items
