Stomp Out Poverty – Mayor John Maloney to support Port Cares in the Mayors’ Invitational Grape Stomp

Drop off food donations for Port Cares at City Hall in Port Colborne this month to support Mayor John Maloney in the “Stomp out Poverty” event. We thank Mayor Maloney for designating Port Cares as the recipient for our community in this challenge.

Partnering with  the Grape Growers of Ontario, JCI St. Catharines and Skycomp Solutions, Niagara’s Mayors will be working together to raise awareness about poverty and support local food banks by collecting non-perishable food items between Sept. 1 and 18. On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 12 p.m. at Montebello Park in downtown St. Catharines, the Mayors will take to the grape barrels for the traditional stomping of the grapes. The volume of the stomped grape juice plus the total volume of donations will determine the winner of this year’s Mayor’s Grape Stomp.
